Terms of Use and Sale
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of Sceina, an AI-assisted video editor published by Sceina, trading name of the sole proprietorship of Claude Prince-Emmanuel Miakouikila Molongandzeyi (see the legal notice). Creating an account means accepting them in full. They apply both to use through the web interface and to use through the MCP interface by an agent acting on your behalf.
2. Account
- You must be at least 15 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. Minors must have the authorisation of a legal guardian.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. Any action performed with your key is deemed to be yours.
- An account is personal. Sharing it with several people, or reselling access to it, is not permitted.
- You can close your account at any time; see article 9.
3. Plans and prices
Prices are stated in euros. VAT is not applicable under article 293 B of the French Tax Code, so the amounts shown are the amounts charged. Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled.
| Plan | Price | Included each month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | 1 project, 720p export with watermark, 1 GB |
| Basic | €25 / month | 400 credits, 40 images, 10 GB |
| Advanced | €50 / month | 900 credits, 120 images, 30 GB |
| Pro | €100 / month | 2,000 credits, 300 images, 100 GB |
| Enterprise | On quote | Negotiated terms |
The detail of each plan, and the limits attached to it, are set out on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. Prices may change; a change never applies to a period already paid for and is announced at least 30 days in advance.
4. Credits, allowances and top-ups
- AI generation is metered. Subscriptions include a monthly allowance of credits and images; video generation is charged at the provider's cost from a dedicated balance.
- Monthly allowances reset at each renewal and do not carry over to the following month.
- Top-ups purchased separately are added to your balance, are not tied to the billing period, and remain available for as long as the account is open.
- The cost of an operation is displayed before it is triggered. A failed generation is not charged; if it is, the amount is returned to your balance.
- Automatic top-up, if you enable it, charges your saved payment method as soon as your balance falls below the threshold you set. It can be turned off at any time.
5. Right of withdrawal and refunds
You have 14 days from your first paid subscription to change your mind, with no reason to give and no penalty. Write to [email protected] and we refund the full amount within 14 days, by the same means of payment, even if you have already used the service.
Beyond those 14 days, a period already started is due in full and is not refunded pro rata. Top-ups are refundable for the unconsumed portion of the balance within the same 14 days.
6. Cancellation and termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: paid features remain available until then, after which the account reverts to the free plan.
We may suspend or close an account in the event of non-payment, of a serious breach of these terms, or of use that endangers the service or third parties. Except where the breach is manifest and serious, a warning is sent first and you are given the opportunity to remedy it.
7. Your content
You retain full ownership of the media you import and the videos you produce. You grant Sceina only the technical licence needed to run the service — store, transcode, display and render your content — for as long as your account is open. We claim no commercial right over your productions and do not use them to promote Sceina without your agreement.
You warrant that you hold the rights to what you import — and in particular:
- the images, videos, music and fonts you upload;
- the voice you clone: you must be the person speaking, or hold their express and documented consent;
- the trademarks, logos and likenesses that appear in your projects.
8. Prohibited uses
The following are forbidden on Sceina:
- producing content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, violent or pornographic, and any sexual content involving minors;
- impersonating a person by cloning their voice or likeness without their consent, and producing misleading deepfakes;
- infringing the intellectual property rights of third parties;
- circumventing the technical limits of the service, quotas, watermarking, or trying to access another account's data;
- reselling the service or its generation capacity as your own product.
We do not review content before publication. We do act on reports; see the legal notice.
9. Deleting your account
You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to [email protected]. Deletion is final: your projects, media and renders are erased within 30 days and cannot be restored. Export what matters to you first. Invoices are kept for the statutory period.
10. Availability
Sceina is provided as a best-effort service, with no guaranteed uptime outside a specific Enterprise agreement. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, for a provider failure, or for reasons beyond our control. Scheduled maintenance is announced whenever possible.
11. Liability
Sceina is bound by an obligation of means. Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, and capped at the amounts you paid over the twelve months preceding the event. Indirect damage — loss of profit, loss of opportunity, harm to image — is excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability in the event of gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or personal injury, nor the statutory guarantees owed to consumers. You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of the content that matters to you.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Any substantial change is announced at least 30 days in advance by email or in the application. If you refuse it, you may cancel before it takes effect; continuing to use the service means accepting it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, please contact us first: most matters are settled that way.
If you are a consumer, you may then use a consumer mediator free of charge, in accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code; write to us to obtain the details of the competent scheme. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute is brought before the competent French courts — and, if you are a consumer, before the court of your place of residence if you prefer.
